The Sebago Moccasin Company was founded in the USA in 1946 by three friends; Joseph Cordeau, William Beaudoin and Daniel Wellehan. The first collections of shoes were manufactured using the original welted construction developed and quite common in the UK. It was in In 1948 when the first boat shoes ranges were put together and they were originally sold to a company called Uniroyal of America.
