Beginning in and around the 14th century, middle ages clothing for women started to change in many ways. For the upper class women that were of noble birth there was an extremely wide array of fabric choices. There was an abundance of soft velvets, silks, and lace. Other more luxurious fabrics that made up middle ages clothing were brocades and Egyptian cottons that were embroidered and printed.
