Review by Miami of Ohio for Cultural Competence in Health Education and Health Promotion (Public Health/AAHE)
Rating:
This book firmly and decisively lifts cultural competence in health from the merely well-meaning into a practical and methodical approach that can affectively reach, teach, and help diverse populations. The book’s mix of theory, method, and applications makes it a great tool for practicing health educators, and an easily adoptable text for health education and public health students. The authors and AAHE are to be commended for writing this important book. I urge students and practitioners to read it and put its lessons into practice.
