I bought this last Christmas for my then 16 month old son. Even though it was never something that he wouldn’t put down, he still (at 2 years old) plays with this and the Fruit and Vegetable Play Food Basket. I’m sure he will play with them for a long time to come, as he is interested in cooking. He will pretend to eat the various foods and spins the matzo (we call it a cracker). All the items are life sized and very durable material.

learning resources makes the most realistic-looking, unchokable, easy to sterilize after being slobbered-upon, play foods – also check out the breakfast, lunch, dinner sets and vegetables & fruits – all wonderful pretend play foods for young toddlers & beyond – my 2-yr-old *loves* them & plays with them all in different ways (feeding her “babies,” making us meals, separating by shapes & colors, etc.) & my 4-mo-old likes to touch them for the different textures (again, too large to be a choking-hazard, unlike other play foods out there); so refreshing to have other options besides hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. too
